SIRES

In the true meaning of 'stud', sires are sourced from within the herd, providing they offer attributes equal to or better than those available in the market place. Generally 1-2 per year are retained and then they must prove themselves. Outside purchases are determined by attributes offered rather than price, it's a case of 'acquiring the best bull for the job'. Two sires are owned in partnership with Steve & Claire Farmer, Comanche Grazing Co.

Sires must exhibit:

	Scale / length, muscling and adequate bone.
	Vigorous Libido.
	A tidy sheath with good sphincter muscle.
	A strong polled head with hooded eye.
	A lite coat.
	Tractable temperament.
	Structural correctness.

Sires receive an annual Fertility check and each are assigned 40/50 females.

Purchased sires are Fertility checked shortly after arrival to ensure 'in house' fertility standards are met.
